ENDA as We've Known It Must Die

For many years, our community has debated the place of transgender people in the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). The time for debate is over. The question must be called. ENDA must be amended to protect transgender people. If it is not, we all must walk away from it.

I would completely understand someone saying that it's the height of hypocrisy for me to be saying this.

Support groups back Nadia victory

Nadia Almada's Big Brother victory has been hailed as an important step forward for the transsexual community.

UK support groups were delighted that the British public backed the 27-year-old throughout her 10-week stay in the house.

She received almost 3.9 million votes.

All's not fair in war against transgender bias

Transsexuals have better rights protection on the mainland than here, but a meeting between activist groups and the government may be the first step in fighting discrimination and intolerance in the territory, according to academics and research groups.

At least 10 activist groups representing sexual minorities will meet representatives from the Home Affairs Bureau today to discuss the rights of transsexuals, same-sex couples, and others who face discrimination because of their sexual orientation.
